For those fans who are beyond blindness when it comes to this film, what are your plans on the day Sunshine is released in your country? [Note: Check out the forum's calendar if you don't know your release date.] For me, Sunshine will be released on a Friday and I only have one college class in the morning to go to. If I'm lucky, that class might even be optional or cancelled on that day. I'll try to catch an afternoon showing and will probably do a back-to-back feature. The "back-to-back feature" part is tentative, but I'm really excited for this movie and I usually watch movies that I love more than once in the theaters. ;D I'll try to drag a friend or two in order to "spread the sunshine" around.

Well. It depends on whether or not my theater gets it. If it does, I'm going to TOTALLY "preview" it the night before on Thursday. We get to watch all of the films we get the night before they go on screen to make sure they're put together correctly and all that.
If we don't get it, then I'll be traveling out of town at the earliest possible date to catch it elsewhere.

I'm usually the same, i'll watch movie that i'm excited about so many times to the point that i know it by heart already. I have no idea when Sunshine will be shown in my country but i'll wait and probably will go in the opening night.

Agreeing on the "dragging friends with you" part. I hope theres a midnight show for it when it does come out, I would try my hardest to go to it! ^^ (Being a minor and not being able to drive hurts. u.u)

Well, for me I can guarantee my town wont get it at all, or at least in the first 3 weeks. So I will have to travel 30-60 minutes depending on what theatre does get it. I hope to see it ASAP, I can't say I will get the chance the first day. But within the first week is a great goal! I am very excited!! Much anticipation! Yah, I will be making sure to bring a friend or two to spread the Sunshine. How could we not?

I forgot to mention the midnight showing option! Silly me...do all theaters offer such a luxury? I usually go to a Regal Cinema or AMC. Anyone know?

In my town only the "bigger" films get to have midnight recognition. lol. So... and I don't know about other theatres. I bet you could contact AMC or Regal Cinema and see what they say, I have done it most recently...haha. Desperate for Sunshine!

I would try to get one of my friends thats 18+ to take me to the film. If not then I will have to wait until DVD . I hate being under 18 sometimes.

Usually I'll accompany my parents for the first time, then my college friends, then my church's youth, then perhaps my high school friends... hehe... Spread that sunshine around, as you said! When Memoirs of a Geisha was released, I watched 3 times in the cinema, my parents almost killed me when they know that. Can't wait til 15th March!!!

I get out of school at 3... so if I have the car I'll go to the closet cinema that has it. One one minute from fmy school another that is 7 minutes but farther away from home. I'll go to a four showing. The next day is st patty's day and where I live there are big celebrations and my parents don't like to drive or have me drive. I'm 18 but I still live in there house. After friday afternoon then probably sunday. and then the next weekend.

WHATS THe BUDGET OF THE FILM?!

Quick Googling (["danny boyle" sunshine budget]) led to interviews that put the budget at roughly 25 million pounds/50 million dollars. Not much by American standards-- but "Sunshine" obviously isn't suffering the "ego bloat" that sends so many Hollywood films floating into the $100-million-plus range.
About watching it: I know it's gonna be a slaughter, so I'm having my fun now! I'm enjoying anticipating it far more than I'll enjoy watching it-- if that makes any sense. The older I get-- and the longer I stay at My Beloved JobTM-- the less I appreciate being put through an emotion wringer at the flicks. I always end up thinking "Misery? Suffering? Killings and/or random acts of charbroiling? Heck, I get PAID to read this stuff!"

It`ll make it more of *your in the film* type thing.
