YES. Far and away TOO FEW. Especially if they were trying to make us believe the crew was working in shifts. Look, I know we nightsiders are MIRACLE WORKERS, but that's stretching it...!
That said....
Do you think the designers of the ship should have planned for a backup source of oxygen generation?

No, because it would be too complicated to handle two gardens for one biologist. Besides you can't put a biological oxygen garden on stand-by and activate it when you need it, because plants die if they dont't get water and CO2. And over-producing oxygen by two gardens is inefficient because the plants waste water and power for the lights, important resources I think.
Would you get obessed with the sun like Searle?

(I didn't say "backup garden," Hunter. I said "backup source." There are alternate technologies available. Sorry for any confusion. Personally, I think they were daft for setting out with *just* the garden-- but, hey, that's just me.)

Oh sorry I assumed a second garden because oxygen tanks would be too huge for 8 persons on a trip that takes years. It wouldn't make sense. But it would be better if the garden were placed direct behind the bomb, it's more safety there when there are plasma explosions on the sun. What for alternate technologies to generate oxygen do you mean?

Would you attempt suicide (like Trey) if you knew that you messed up an important calculation?

Yes, I think I would only attempt it but I wouldn't be successful. The reason being is because of Mace and Kaneda. Trey watched Mace comfort him during their "low time" when Kaneda and Capa were able to fix the heat panels, but then soon after everything went wrong.
And the man who used to lead the team and whose last look at me was in disappointment... dies. Mankind's last and only hope isn't looking too good either. Sure, I'll attempt suicide.
Would you change Danny Boyle's decision to make the spacesuits gold?

Yes. I still prefer the conventional white spacesuits. Gold is a bit too much of a "bling-bling" to me. >.<
Do you think there should be a "back-up" physicist... you know just in case something happen to Capa.

Yes, a "back-up" physicist would be good as long as their oxygen source can handle another person (or perhaps even more back-ups?).
Do you like the fact that Icarus is a "girl"?

Yeah, I do. Dunno why, I just do...
Do you think Mace would've made a better second-in-comand than Harvey?

YES. He (besides Kaneda) is the most dedicated to the mission. He constantly reminds the crew of their goal... and it is love. Do you think Searle named the fish in the aquarium that is located in the Medical Bay? (If yes, what would be potential names for them?

//Yes, it is indeed love, brittany.
Probably. I never really thought about it. If he DID name them, I have a weird feeling he would've named them after his fellow crew members and observed how they interacted with one another in his free time. Just seems like something Searle would do...
Do you think Harvey would've owned a photo album, considering his fondness for his wife and his life back on Earth?

Yes
I think he would have spent some of his free time, reminiscing about the times that he had on earth with his wife.
Did you notice the "religion" theme when you first watched Sunshine?

Did you notice the "religion" theme when you first watched Sunshine? YES, however, my mind has changed after several viewings now. At first, I thought Sunshine was antagonizing God. Now I believe that Sunshine merely shows the dynamics of people's interpretations of God and, of course, antagonizes the extreme believer. Do you blame Kaneda? Why or why not? I am keeping this question as vague as possible to prevent any bias.

I'm forming my retort to your BLAME-O-RAMA comment, but while I do, I have a correction for your lead-in to the next question. The Icarus Project was a joint American-Asian venture; Kaneda is Japanese, Trey is Chinese, and Corazon is Filipino.
I just felt oddly offended by that Chinese comment...
