...I think the questions have to be YES or NO ones, Hunter...
If we changed that to: Would you take lots of personal items with you if you were in Icarus heading to the sun?
I would say YES. Definitely.
Okay, my next question:
Did you agree with Mace's decision to blow the 02 tanks in order to put out the fire in the Oxygen Garden?

no. because did it really help much? seems to me (a total i-dont-know-anything-about-science idiot) that it causes more stressful worries, lack of O2. but if they continue to burn, will it really jeopardize the mission? I mean, after Harvey close the doors and everything... and I'll bet Corazon will scream and cry for the entire time it burn... Do you think Harvey check out the O2 Garden in Icarus I himself to cheer Corazon up (partly feeling guilty for blocking her out of her own Garden)? or is it just my speculation? ;D

I think he did, Mel! Something I always noticed was that when he was in there talking about the Icarus I 02 Garden, he kept going on about it to Corrie rather than the others. Corvey moment, anyone?
Another question regarding Icarus I...
Do you think Pinbacker went crazy first, rather than the rest of his crew?

surprisingly, no.... I think some of his crew started the whole craziness thing, and then he went crazy. Cause I think usually captains are the ones who are way tooo calm to burst first.
Do you think Searle made a mistake in keeping Cassie's pregnancy a secret to Kaneda, since he's the captain and all, he deserved to know?

No. I think the only other person that SHOULD have been told was Mace. For obvious reasons.
Speaking of Mace...
Do you think that Mace intended to find a way to 'make it easy for him' when he went to kill Trey, or did he agree to it for Cassie's sake? Or, more specifically, was it Cassie's reaction that made him try to find a way to take Trey's life without causing him suffering?

Or, more specifically, was it Cassie's reaction that made him try to find a way to take Trey's life without causing him suffering? See, I still don't think the reasons were "obvious." I do, however, still think that Alex Garland committed a dramatic blunder of monumental proportions by making abortion part of Cassie's backstory. It should never have been an issue-- at all, period-- and it's one of the (many) things in Mr. Garland's wide world of "Sunshine" that have left me blinking in queasy disbelief. Once again: apologies all 'round, etc. ... To answer the "more specifically" question: No. Anyone with even a teaspoo[n]ful of decency would try to find a quick, efficient, relatively painless "out" for the victim in that situation. If you were a member of the crew, would you believe at the start of the mission that you were setting out on a one-way trip?

No.. since there weren't any reasons that it would be... at that time, of course.
Question: Do you blame Capa?

...I think I do.
It was HIS decision - and trying to save a small pocket of humanity that would've died with the rest of humanity if the mission had failed really made the kind of sense that didn't, if you get my drift.
Or maybe it's just cause Mace blames him, and I have a tendency to side with Mace on everything.
(btw, in the deleted scenes, it's evident that Cassie believes KANEDA was the one to blame for the situation!)
Q: If you were in Searle's position during the airlock scene in Icarus I, would you have stayed behind to save the others?

No. I think I'm more like Harvey, you know. I'll freak out.
If you get to choose, would you be the Captain of Icarus II?

No, I think I would be better as a normal crew member.
If Icarus have reached the sun without any accidents and the bomb were shot into the sun and doesn't work, would you return to earth?

Wouldn't be much of a choice there since there isn't another bomb to use. Plus there would definitely be enough oxygen to get back. Hm, I don't know. I don't like giving up without a fight. I'd probably say I'd stick around in space. No point in taking a couple more years to return, make a new bomb and then coming back to the sun. Let the Icarus III handle that, at least after we try our alternative methods and see if they work.
Most, if not all of the crew members are single. Would you make a move toward your desired crew member, despite what everyone else might think?

Yep. Life is short. I think Rose Byrne had the most realistic take on the situation: it'd be like university. Not quite a free-for-all, but close. That said-- and really: I'm not drumming for slash or pointing fingers and naming names-- do you think any of the crew are gay or bisexual?

No...although Capa does make me wonder sometimes...
If the mission were totally successful, would you celebrate the second it was completed?

No...although Capa does make me wonder sometimes... Honest to God-- and I hate to be concurring with The Other Team-- (grrr... Massie people... grrr )-- it's the way he says "Check" when he's playing chess with Kaneda in the deleted scenes. I'm serious. I watched that clip, and I thought If he's not gay, he's an android.Okay, okay: let the pelting with rocks and garbage begin...! Whoo hoo! In the meantime.... Once again: Yep. Why? Because if you thought the voyage out was boring and nervewracking, just wait 'til the trip home. Without the mission to focus on, people are going to be going INSANE. (Especially Capa, I'd think: he'd no longer be able to retreat to his refuge in the payload.) I'd like to get my kicks in before the terminal cabin fever kills me, please. Okay, a silly one: Should the ship have had an entertainment center? Video games, music, the entire back catalogue of MGM and Twentieth Century-Fox, that sort of thing?

YES. It would've helped the cabin fever big time. I can just picture Mace and Trey playing Gran Turismo 4 on the PS and b*tching at each other over who was cheating or not.
Do you think that eight people for the mission was too many/too few?
