Maybe here, at least, we should have separate zones for those who have and haven't seen it. Something along the lines of "SEEN THE LIGHT? ENTER HERE" and "STILL IN THE DARK? [strikes me: that phrase pretty much describes how the suits at Fox obviously operate on a daily basis]: THIS WAY" Of course, me-- I'm a complete spoiler bimbo (wanted to use a slightly more peppery word, but-- Oh, hi, word-police-thingy! ). I'd be going in the "wrong" door all the time. But maybe it'd be nice if we could give people a choice. What d'ya think, chero, brittany, Amanda...?

I was talking to Chero about it last night (or the night before or the night before--sometime within about the past week, anyway), and I think she's going to make a separate forum or sub-board or something for the people who've seen it (or really don't care about spoilers?). I think it's a pretty brilliant idea.

Yeah, Chero and I are planning new additions to this Fan Forum. We will most likely have a password protection on the "Seen the Light" board/thread... but who knows.

Sounds like a good idea. I used to be a glutton for spoilers, but now I'm finding it fun to not know....

Once it gets closer to April, I will make a new sub-board under About Sunshine or some other category (I haven't decided yet). Don't worry! I had this planned from the beginning.

I just hate it when people get jealous and then try to ruin the fun for everyone else. This sour UK critic is really pushing it. His spoiler-less review is filled with ill-tempered assumptions and self-satisfying comments. According to him, Sunshine is "silly"? He's messing with the wrong fanbase... It's not being released in December, people... can I shout it out loud now?

Sunshine has been screened for UK critics. I was not invited, and those that were have been asked to keep schtum. Was it any good?
He's just jealous. And arrogant.

You know, I hate to say it, but there is a point with calling it Icarus etc., esp. after the first one failed. But hey, it certainly has a nice ring to it.

I for one am glad there will be seperate boards for those who've seen it and those who haven't. I loathe spoilers!!!! I can already tell I'll have to heavily avoid a lot of places where UK audiences will be happily discussing the film. :*0
I know, I know, another spoiled American used to getting all the films first...

Not necessarily first--just on time. As in with the rest of the world. Instead of waiting because the stupid idiots really great people at Fox Searchlight US would like to give the American public utter drivel instead. ... *crawls back under rock*

Yeah, that's where I get mad too. I only go to the theater maybe twice a year - I could care less about the Pirates sequel or the other summer movies - drivel - that are due out this year - none of that would have affected my desire to see Sunshine. For the most part these are different audiences, so releasing Sunshine in April here in the US would have not made much difference vs being released in September. Now all they've done is increase the chances of massive piracy on this movie from impatient audiences here. (crawls under adjacent rock...)
