It wouldnt matter if they havent been filmed. Cause Corrie's last message is just really easy to film, right? Just ask Michelle to smile at the camera for a minute... Ok, sorry about that... fangirl moment's over. Haha, yeah. And she would be like, "Oh and I'm cheating on you with Kaneda." Now THAT'S a fangirl moment!

Anyway, no one else's final message was in the script book I have. That's why I say I want the chess game, since that was actually in there. I want that scene too, Amanda.... I want that scene too....

I'm thinking if that happen (ya, i know what you're thinking but IF), she's gonna say it in a matter of fact tone with an extremely straight face. But if Michelle were to say it, I bet she'll say it in a cheeky tone.. ;D

Well, I went and saw it for the third time the other day, and I can see what looks like to me scenes that seem to have been either badly edited (which I don't want to believe) or there is definitely something missing... for example, Cassie running away from Pinbacker, we see her standing against the wall trying to hide the torch (this is when she's first seen Pinbacker, just as she's left her room calling out for Capa) and then suddenly there's a very confusing and dark series of short cuts and the next we know she's in the Earth Room, hiding in the cubicle where Trey has earlier commited suicide... it didn't make sense to me. The other thing is why does she lead Pinbacker deliberately into the Payload room? You can hear her muttering as she runs 'Come on, you bastard." I'm wondering what purpose there is to this? Is there a scene missing there where she might have established contact with either Mace or Capa and one or the other has told her to do this? I don't know... it seems odd that later when Capa arrives at the Payload and finds Cassie there, the first things he asks "Is he (Pinbacker) here? I need to know?" Just made me wonder if between them (Cassie and Capa) they've deliberately led Pinbacker into the Payload? I didn't think there would be a alternative ending, I mean what could you have done for that? But as to missing scenes, yes I think there's a few there.

I didn't read the character backstories until after I saw the movie, but they really do add lots of nuance to the characters. The bit in Trey's which says "his closest friend out of the whole crew is Mace" just hurts. It makes the whole vote-to-kill scene so much more painful. OK, you are now returned to your regularly scheduled shipping

OK, you are now returned to your regularly scheduled shipping Yep, I know what you mean. I was thinking of the earlier scene when Kaneda says that they can repair the shields and everyone was celebrating then Mace walks up to Trey and said "Don't kill yourself, ok? Everything's fine" (or something to that effect). Then later the vote-to-kill scene makes me think like "Oh so you ask him not to kill himself but it's perfectly fine for you to kill him". I understand why Mace and Corazon made that decision but still I'd back Cassie up. Which reminds me... I'm still confused as to Capa vote to kill trey or not to? Because he sounded like "Kill him." but the subtitles said "Kill him?" then Cassie said "You're saying you need my vote, I'm saying you can't have it." So which means Capa vote not to kill trey?

Capa voted to go for it. He's thinking about it logically and not letting human emotions cloud his thinking. He thinks it's absolutely ridiculous that he's even being asked a question like that. In the other thread, the one about the favorite quotes, it has him saying it. Something to the effect of, "What are you asking? You want me to weigh the life of one against the future of mankind?" And then he says, "Kill him." He knows it's essential that there be one less person breathing in order to complete the mission. And he knows that if the mission isn't completed, he's not only going to be killing himself and the people onboard the Icarus, but he'll be killing mankind as a whole. It's the most logical decision.
I think I'd be on the team with Corazon, Capa and Mace.

(here am I ranting again) When Mace says (in Icarus I) "We're gonna fire him out", they actually translate (in Malay and Chinese) that "we're gonna burn him out" There's other parts of the movie too, making it sound really ridiculous!

I'll try and explain the geography of that area of the ship. Luckily I've got photos!! This is the Communal Room where they eat and gather together at a few times towards the beginning of the film. Pinbacker is sitting where the pink dot is. Behind the dot you see a long corridor with a very bright light at the end of it. Right above the pink dot (at about 10-11 o'clock) you can see a blue door handle and some dials and a yellow-ish, green-ish tinge to the wall. That is one of the crew's bedroom doors, Cassie's in fact. (btw that's me sitting where Capa said sh!t ) If you were holding the camera and just pivoted to the left, this is what you'd see. That's where Trey is cooking at the start. If you go up to the doorway right behind the pink dot you'd see this. You can see the blue door handle and dials again. And straight in front of you, down the hallway, you see a bright white light and a yellow thing. Remember those. Now walk forward to where Andrew Macdonald is and look in the direction he's looking. OK in this one you can see the blue door handles, dials and the green-ish, yellow-ish tinge. The one on the right is Capa's room and Harvey's is on the left (they only actually had Harvey's, Capa's, Cassie's and Kaneda's rooms)... Down the hallway you can see a pink dot. That's where Pinbacker is sitting. Now if you make a 180 degree turn so that the communal room where Pinbacker is sitting is directly behind you, you'd see this. You can see this was taken before the sets were finished, but Kaneda's bedroom is on the left and Cassie's is on the right. The light at the end of the tunnel is the Med Lab and the bright light is from the Earth Room. Now this is the best picture I've got which shows a lot of the room and the Earth Room... On the right you can see the yellow tube thing running up the photo and then to the right out the door... you could see it coming out the door in the photo w Andrew in it. The bright white thing on the left is the Earth Room. So... Cassie walks out of her room, goes diagonally towards Capa's room, down the corridor towards the Communal Room she sees Pinbacker sitting down, she turns around and runs up the corridor towards the MedLab. She goes around the righthand side of the Earth Room to the entrance of it which is on the back wall. She hides inside there. Trey was sitting opposite the entrance of the Earth Room which was the wall closest to the MedLab (the lower lefthand corner of this photo). Pinbacker came up the hallway into the MedLab, went up to the EarthRoom wall we see in this picture, leaned his head against it...

I've got tons and tons of photos like these - basically boring and crappy and can't really be used for anything 'pretty'... at least these ones have been useful!
