I just want to say that my favorite scene is the Booster Countdown/Capa's Jump. After viewing this scene a number of times, I noticed a couple of things about Icarus II's shield:
1. The airlock door to the bomb wasn't shielded. Wouldn't the sun melt through the doors causing decompression?
2. Maybe it's just me, but isn't the shield too small? Looking at this picture, comms 3 and 4 seem as long as the shield is wide. As close as the ship is to the sun, I would think the sunlight/heat would start angling behind the shield.
