MTV's website is lame when it comes to finding things - more recently, getting faces right... Trey/Benedict Wong fans won't be happy. Grrr...

I've just sent a terse email to Searchlight to get it changed ASAP... I've just come back from watching Sunshine with Benny, then went out for dinner!

Perhaps this incident willl convince them to release more Trey promos? I've just come back from watching Sunshine with Benny, then went out for dinner! I won't be jealous... I won't be jealous... too late.

Thank you so much. That site is the worst damn site ever. Or at least one of them. Grr. ...But OMG THAT WAS SO AMAZING! Incredible! Totally excited! XD Also, not only is Benny's voice sexy (gotta love that backstory, too) but I just realized that Troy is awesome. Not that he wasn't before. Just that...I have proof now. ;D

YEAH-- do tell, Gia...!! Are you going to be sick of it before we even get to London?!I totally won't be sick of it! Seriously. The first time I saw the film I kept thinking 'Oh I remember that day!' or 'That's when Damien and I were under the set!' or 'Ooooo so that's what they were filming then!'... I still really enjoyed the film, but wasn't detached. The second time I saw it was the very first time it was shown to non-cast/crew/execs. I was more concerned with the reactions of the people in my row than the film... Last night was the first time I was able to watch it fully. Wow. We were all blown away. Benny had seen it once before (but was struggling with the 'trying to be detached' thing), Brian had seen it at the same screenings I had, and we were with three others who hadn't seen anything other than what's on the web... one was a big sci-fi fan who has been *dying* to see the film for 18 months now. Everyone was floored by it. I even cried. I take back what I said to you in a PM, Amanda. You'll probably cry. We went out for dinner around the corner and talked about life, the universe and everything... and kept pausing to sigh and say, 'It really *is* a great film!' I'm hopefully going to catch the end of the film tomorrow night (the end is the best bit... though it seems that some people don't get it)... and I can't wait!

Good that you won't be sick of it! It's funny that you were under the set, though...! Haha! Were you doing that sneakily like filming without permission?
Oh, dear. You've seen this thing that many times and still cried? I'm going to be a puddle. *facepalm*
So basically it's amazing and we're all going to cry and it's going to be the greatest time ever? Good! Good!

Last night was the first time I cried. I didn't cry the other two times (though during filming, I cried almost every time I watched an early cut of one of the scenes)...
For the first time last night, I noticed the profound significance of one of the final shots (of Cillian) and tears streamed down my cheeks. Like a dork.
I cried because of a beautiful *image* which, last night, spoke a million words to me.
I've been PMing someone on IMDB who has seen the film. S/he and I have been discussing the subtext and the meanings...S/he said about this 'beautiful image' that made me cry: "it's indeed one of the most beautiful scenes in contemporary science fiction, in my opinion."
You might not cry... you might be tougher than I am. I'm a wimp.

Oh, gosh, I just can't wait. I'm a wimp, too, especially when it comes to films (you should've seen me in King Kong, for Christ's sake--I was lucky I was the only one in the auditorium because I was seriously sobbing). Just--wow. In a way I'm glad I'm hearing so much about it so I can sort of try to prepare for it, but then again, I know it's not going to help. I'm just too excited to write anything coherent anyway.

I cried LOADS more in King Kong than in Sunshine (my son and I had to stay in the cinema and sob our eyes out before leaving, we did exactly the same at the end of LOTR:Return of the King)... but Sunshine isn't emotionally manipulative at all. So when I cried, it was because it had genuinely moved me, not cos a big, lovely, misunderstood, lovesick monkey died at the hands of the baddies and the music swelled at all the right times...

Well, okay, I'm feeling better about it. I might cry anyways, but we'll see. I didn't watch LOTR: ROTK. I'm not much of a LOTR fan (blasphemy, I already know!). I cried in HP4, though. Hermione is my heart... I can't help it.
