We might need to change the topic before our mechanic decides to head to the engine room in order to cool off - haha, cool off, engine room, coolant... Aw, that was a sad scene in the movie.

Oh...damn...now I feel bad...that scene made me cry in the film, so I try not to think of it when I'm doing stuff in the RPG...that's how Mace dies in Penumbra, too...
*fountains of irrepressibly miserable tears*

Kali, I wouldn't assume that Kaneda is watching Harvey because he might act up again. Could it just be old-fashioned jealousy? Also, Harvey is quite normal if he's stroking Corazon's feathers, so to speak. He has always admired her from the start. It seems anyways that Harvey forgot about his chat with Kaneda. You know, that Corazon's loved one is in fact several inches - NOT several lightyears away. I think it was more a gut-level reaction on my part: if I were Corrie, and a big guy like Harvey had knocked me on my can, I'd be feeling a little wary the next time we met. Not fearful, just on my guard. At least until I could see that he was being his normal, friendly-- or maybe slightly overly flirty-- self. Capa was the one who was really nervous there. Bringing Harvey to breakfast was his first big judgment call as acting medical officer, and there he was, thinking If Harvey flips out now, Kaneda is going to kill me....Hey-- and wouldn't that be "light- minutes" away...? (After all, it takes eight minutes for light to travel from sun to Earth, right...? ) If they were light- years from home, poor Trey would have some 'splaining to do...!

Trey can 'splain all he wants, but he tol' me lightyears. Maybe that was a joke. Oh boy, do I feel embarrassed...

A warning: Internet will be limited for me since I'm now back from college and enjoying my summer while working at the same time. I'll try to reply as quickly as possible, but if I get too slow someone can take over Kaneda. Harvey is still up for grabs for a newcomer.

Does she even HAVE a problem? She didn't just fall prey to fatigue?
I usually stay up really late, work my butt off all day, and stay up late again, but occasionally I'm so exhausted I just go to bed at eight. It doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong...
Not trying to step on anybody's toes or interrupt a Capsie scene or whatever, I just wasn't sure if Cassie was intended to be suffering from an slight illness of some kind.

kali - Your last post is fine! No need to change. massiefan - You are right. There is no problem. Just overworking. Although I was going to have it be something else (not illness related, mind you ....), but that would be too complicated and drag on the story.

Okay, that's cool. Also, may I say how much I LOVE YOUR SIG!!!
It's gorgeous. If I weren't accessing this page via my phone right now, I would save it. I'll have to be patient until I have my laptop tomorrow night.
Right, back on topic now...

Sorry for not keeping up, guys. I'm having trouble concentrating right now. Big emotional downswing. Took me a while to do the math, but the book I was reading to help me sort myself out boiled down to nothing more than trading one set of delusions for another. (What a revelation: Writers write junk psychology books TO MAKE MONEY. Who'd'a thunk?!?) Turns out I was right all along: I'm an ugly fat loser pushing my way into middle age with nothing more than myself, a job I only just tolerate, and a pile of credit card debt higher than Everest. I'd love to cash out-- but, hey, wishes aren't horses, are they?
So: apologies. Will be around. (Or, with any luck, not. Maybe the wishful-thinking thing will work for once.) Take care, all.

It's okay, kali. Chero hasn't been involved as much in the RPG either. Like she said before, summer is here and it is getting tougher to reply as quickly as usual. As for your emotional downswing, my advice is this: grab some popcorn and enjoy a funny movie! That's what I usually do. I am a movie nerd afterall.

I did one better-- and for this one you can all wind up and tell me to shut my fat face and get the hell over myself already: I watched a movie scene being filmed. In Iowa. Uh huh. And then I chatted briefly with a certain slender blue-eyed guy whose first words to me were: " Jesus--! What the hell are you doing here...?" ...

It was pretty surreal-- and just plain pretty, too. What a lovely day....
