Heya all Just thought I'd share these words with you. When I bought the complete Pinbacker costume from the Sunshine auctions back in 2007, I actually found some script pages in the pocket of Mark Strong's pants. The pages are from when Icarus I is boarded and Pinbacker's message plays on the monitors . I'll put the speech into spoiler tags, so only those who want to can see it. Definitely prefer the one used in the final cut of the film. I'd be interested to see the footage of the original speech though. "My name is Captain Pinbacker. My ship's mission was to keep the sun shining. But that mission has failed. There may be time and materials for Earth to construct and send a second mission. But that mission will fail too. It will fail for the same reason as ours. I'm now recording a final message. I'll broadcast it into the solar winds, BUT (changed from and) the words will be lost in the flares of a dying star. SO (changed from and) when I die, I'll be the message. Delivered to the face of God." Thoughts?

Thoughts = WOW Now I'm wondering if any other props had bits of the original script tucked away inside. Unless you just got lucky... Regardless, this is nice! Thank you so MUCH for sharing, troopercooper! LY

This is brilliant, troopercooper! I'd be interested in seeing extra footage, too. It's a very powerful speech. Thank you so much for sharing this!! Have a much deserved LY on me.

Wow, thats amazing trooper. Very intersting lines. I'm imagining the message scene with Pinbacker instead of Capa...or something like this. Here is your LY

I'm pleased you all liked it I didn't think much to it myself, but it was an interesting insight.
