Wow, so glad i found this forum. So i just finished watching the movie on pay per view, now disappointed that i did not see it in theatres, and all i could say was 'Wow!'.
Personally I think this was the best movie I have ever seen, screw the critics they don't know a damn thing.
Ok now to my point, I could be crazy with this but I'd still like everyone's in put. At the beginning of the Icarus I seen When the flashlight first passes right over the camera, i could have swore i saw a face in the light. Then I noticed the same thing every time the light hit the camera. Then they wiped clean the picture of the crew party and it was the same people that were in the light.
So #1: Am i crazy? Were those images actually there ( they are only on screen for like 1 frame maybe 2)
#2: Why did you think they added this slightly disturbing effect, to make you really pay attention and no think outside the box, to help make you believe it was trey that released the airlock and not a psychotic Pinbacker.
Thanks for any input on this .

Don't worry, you're not going crazy, they were there Each image is a member of the Icarus I crew. And if you notice when Searle (the psychologist) finds them all together in that room, you see a burst of images, telling the audience he's found all of them. Actually, the director Danny Boyle said in his commentary on the movie that you weren't meant to see the images; they were supposed to be subliminal, but it didn't quite work out. As the images flash you are reminded the ship had a crew and they force you to hope that they are still alive. That puts you in the same psychological position as the Icarus II crew - they don't know either. After all, two Icarus ships and two crews gives them a better chance of success in the mission. So when Searle finally finds the crew all dead in the observation room, your hopes for the mission, and theirs, are dashed. Welcome to the forum.

Hey, kaos! This topic has been mentioned before in a thread entitled, Hidden pictures in frames?, in this discussion board. Please browse the forum first before making any new threads. You can even search for keywords throughout the entire forum if that is easier for you. You are not the only member who has done this so don't feel embarrassed. Thank you.
