Wow! Here's a LY, neillithan. Welcome to the forum, too! Here's a related research paper: EBULLISM AT 1 MILLION FEET: Surviving Rapid/Explosive Decompression by Tamarack R. Czarnik, MD Abstract: Expected outcome of a space-equivalent decompression has improved dramatically in the past 40 years, from an a priori assumption of non-survivability to the possibility of survival and rehabilitation. This paper outlines the history of Man’s struggle with altitude, examines the known pathophysiology of Ebullism, explores the measures taken to improve survival in the Shuttle era, and investigates the state-of-the-art in treatment of rapid/explosive decompression.Link: www.sff.net/people/geoffrey.landis/ebullism.html

Cool and interesting articles, both I always thought people exploding in a vacuum was science-fiction. Nice to see 'Sunshine' has it about right, though technically I don't think Harvey would have frozen solid like he did, because in space there's nothing to remove heat from a body, which is how something normally freezes...does that make any sense? lol

I found these articles quite interesting and informative. Good to know what would actually happen in a vacuum, I was always so sure heads would explode xD
