anyone know what Mark Kermode thinks of Sunshine?

For those not in the UK (he's on YouTube though), Mark Kermode is a film critic. For me he's the only critic worth listening to; he really knows his movies, has a sense of humour, and plays bass in a cool band - The Dodge Brothers - to boot As I recall he is also a fan of Danny Boyle, and I definitely remember him having very positive things to say about 'Sunshine' when it came out (I don't remember when he said it, it might have still been on Radio 5 Live). However, on his usual Friday movie slot on BBC Radio 5 Live it wasn't him who reviewed it but someone else. I think his stand-in only had lukewarm feelings towards it; Mark was definitely more enthusiastic about it. In fact I've heard him subsequently compare 'Sunshine' with 'Solaris' and '2001:A Space Odyssey'.

Anyone know exactly what he had to say about 'Sunshine'? On the R5Live Kermode movie review podcast archive pages - which are listed alphabetically - there is no 'Sunshine' review.

It was Andrew Collins who replaced Mark Kermode that day when Radio 5 Live reviewed Sunshine and Blades of Glory. However, Sunshine Fan Online has a rather lengthy interview session with Danny Boyle on this same station and Kermode makes a guest appearance.
