Maybe I'm odd, but for me a favourite movie shouldn't be watched too much; it spoils it if you know every line, remember every scene I like to leave long amounts of time, sometimes weeks or months, between viewings so that it's not as fresh in one's mind.. So far I think I've watched it 6 times. Up until now I haven't really had a favourite movie, until Sunshine came along. I tend to watch it once every two weeks, sometimes longer. I know, it's crazy But trust me, it accentuates the experience! If you leave it even longer it's like watching it for the first time again The problem with Sunshine is though it's such a visual movie the images tend to stay in your head for weeks, months regardless! Tonight I plan to curl up with Sunshine and a box of jaffa cakes...ah, the trials of being single. redshift

In all, I've seen Sunshine 6 times in the movie theaters, but it's strange almost scary thinking about it. Those 6 times spanned over several months; 2 consecutive times in March, 2 times in July, and 2 consecutive times this month. It's very odd for the groupings to be even, but amazing nonetheless. Good thread.

I watch it 4 times in the cinema in a month and once on the DVD. And I love every minute of it!

Okay, as of this writing, I've seen it 12 times (beating my previous best, which was 6 times in a row with "Jurassic Park") and I never once got tired of it. I know that when I finally get the DVD, I'll probably watch it every day, and still never get tired of it...(Everyone: 'Yeah, right, Lovecraft...you're such a BSer...') HEY, I'M NOT BSing!!! I have the ticket stubs to prove it!! To break it down: Four times in July within the span of one week (twice in one day, and the other two times two days straight). The remaining eight times took place in August (in order: one time, then three times in one day, and then two times in one day, and yet another two times in one day...yeah, I'm obsessed. I know...). Well, that's it. I'm quite curious to see if anyone can beat this...

One and three-quarters times for the film, three times for the deleted scenes. Garland's writing turns my hair gray faster than I prefer; it's graying very nicely on its own, thank you.

Well, when I joined this forum I have seen the movie one time, too. I wanted to see it again, but it was the last day Sunshine was in cinema here. So just one time in theatre and 2 times on a rented DVD. And...tomorrow I will get my DVD And I am agree with you that you should not watch Sunshine too much. It would reduce the magic of the movie because you know erverything. But it's probably hard to resist if you own the DVD. LoL, I thought sometimes: "Why a how-often-have-you-watched-sunshine thread is missing here?"

Well, since I got it and watched it for the first time (about 1 week ago), I've been watching it EVERY DAY so far atleast 3 times, maybe not the whole movie theese days, but much of it. The reason why is because I think it's a beautiful movie with fantastic graphics and music along with it.

Wow, every day! Don't you get tired of it because you know everything exactly (that would be awful)?

Well, I havn't got anything to do at home. But nowdays I dont watch the whole movie, but I do watch some scenes many times a day. Like where Kaneda dies, when the crew are looking at mercury and the last scene with Capa. - But of course I soon know every word that is said in the movie

Hey! It's been ages since I've posted here... Let's see 4 times in Fox's screening room (one of those w Benny Wong!). Once at the cast and crew screening at the Empire (with Brittany, Braylin and Amanda!) Once at the BFI (with Brittany Braylin and Amanda again) Once at the Moscow premiere (sitting right next to Danny!). Once during the recording of Brian's commentary. Once in a cinema in Manchester Once during the Science Festival in Manchester Once at the BFI Imax. 4 times on DVD (once w Danny's commentary, once w Brian's) 15? I'm due for another viewing, I think.
