I've just been listening to an interview with Danny Boyle about Sunshine (dated before Sunshine's UK release) and he said something curious: ..."there's a tiny moment you'll see in the film...if you go back endlessly to watch it, you'll see the figure of Icarus drawn onto the ship's surface as it explodes..." Anyone have any idea what he means? I've watched it countless times but never see anything. Maybe we can turn this into a game: first person to spot it wins, err...

I think he means, after the package has been released, and the icarus ship is about the explode because it isnt far enough away, that there is the design of the icurus bird thing on the sheild of the ship. I didn't notice til the second time I watched it. Did ya get that crappy explanation? And I think thats what he was talking about...

It's Icarus, a character in Greek mythology. He flew to close to the sun so that the wax in his wings melted and he fell down.
