First of all, I would like to introduce myself and say hello to all the fans here.
Now, to the film.
At the scene where they were about to split up in the Icarus I, when one of their flashlights swung over to the camera, for a split second or two, I saw Kaneda's face. (Or at least it looked like him). It took me many tries to get it paused on that part but the task was too daunting (I was lazy).
I think many of us noticed a very brief red flash when the flashlights moved to the camera.
I apologize if this topic has been posted already, and if it has, delete this thread.
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the film, CG was great, plot was spot on, and acting was astounding. Although I personally do not consider this to be a true Hard Sci-Fi but it is the BEST sci-fi film I have seen this year, totally beats the crap out of the simple minded plot and bad acting of Transformers. (Well, it is a Michael Bay movie, his other films were absolute crap [At least the ones that I have seen, Armageddon and Pear Harbor.].)
EDIT: I can now confirm that between 50:00 and 51:00 you can see the images of the crew. The ones that I could spot were Trey, Mace, and Harvey. You'll need to get the DVD onto a computer and slow it down between the two times stated.

The picture that is flashed on the screen when the flashlights blind the audience is the Icarus I crew picture. You see it in full when Searle finds the picture in the social area of the spaceship. The only recognizable face you see is Captain Pinbacker... before his mental and physical transformation. He and his crew are all wearing Hawaii-style outfits.

I remember that picture vividly. The first thought that come to mind is the Icarus I crew is enjoying their training in Hawaii but poor old Icarus II crew got stuck in training during Christmas. LOL...
