Okay, folks; I come with good news ;D and bad news .
Some you may have heard of Dragon*Con. It's a sci-fi/fantasy convention that occurs every Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. They have an entire track of panels just devoted to British sci-fi and fantasy in movies, books and television. I thought that this would be an ideal place to bring together fans of Danny and Alex's work to discuss it. Before I even know about "28 Weeks Later", I submitted a suggestion for a panel on "28DL" and the immanent "Sunshine".
The good news is that they took my suggestion. The bad news is...it's only sort of. They've scheduled a panel on "28 Days Later" and "28 Weeks Later", without any mention of Sunshine or Danny and Alex. (Guess this is what Fox gets for delaying the North American release for so long, huh?)
I haven't given up, though. I'm going to apply, and inquire up front about the possibility of opening up the discussion a bit. (If not, I'm personally willing to discuss the Rage movies for an hour, but it's worth a shot.)
I'm going to post links below, since I know that many of you are as qualified as I am to be a panelist if not moreso. Depending on your interests and experience, there are other panels that seem relevant to "Sunshine", including "Ask the Boffins" and "Brit Films Since WWII: An overview".
If you're going to be in the neighborhood that weekend, or can plan to be, I can say that Dragon*Con is a great time. I went for the first time last year, and am going again this year whether I get a panelist spot or not. In addition to panels on a wide variety of interests, there are celebrity guests, authors, musical acts, cosplay, RPGs, an art show, opportunities to dance, independent films....you name it. Perhaps some of us can even meet up!

ETA - I have been selected as a panelist for both 28DL/28WL and one about "Hot Fuzz"! SQUEEEEEEEE!
