hey, I'm back... I just saw Mummy 3 twice last week and was wondering if you guys liked the movie... I was glad I get to see Michelle as a 2000+ sorceress. I think Michelle's costumes are absolutely gorgeous (of course the subject helps ;D). And the chemistry between Michelle and Jet is great! (I wont say better than Hiro though... ) Basically the story goes like this: Emperor Han (Jet Li) wants to rule the world and live forever so he sends his General Guo Ming (Russell Wong) to summon Zi Yuan (Michelle Yeoh!) to make an immortal potion. The Emperor was attracted to Zi Yuan (and therefore making her out of bounds). However, General Guo and Zi Yuan fell for each other. When the Emperor found out, they know they were doom. Zi Yuan casts a spell on the Emperor as well as his army turning them into clay terra-cotta. 2000 years later, Alex O'Conell (Luke Ford) accidentally brings him back to life. So, once again the O'Conells have to stop another Mummy. Oh and did I mentioned that the Emperor is a shape-shifter and can control all 5 elements (fire, water, wood, earth and metal)? If you want to know more details, you can always go to Jane's Mummy 3 site. Also, dont forget to check out the hilarious interview of Michelle with Craig Ferguson. He always cracks me up.

Glad to be back. Looking forward to hear your impressions... Over here in Penang, the cinemas are all fully booked for Mummy 3. All credits go to Jane. She's the genius who can find ANYTHING related to Michelle. I love watching Michelle's interviews. Even if she mentions the same thing I've already known, she still makes it very interesting. And she's very very pretty! I always think purple suits her well

Okay, I've seen the Mummy 3 and...
... if Michelle Yeoh was not in it, I would have been depressed.
She made the film for me. She looked beautiful as always. Her acting, fighting, and costumes were great, too. As for the actual film, it was not as good as I thought it would be. The main thing that bothered me was the fact that Rachel Weisz was not the wife anymore. If they couldn't get ALL of the original actors, then why even bother? Also, the son was WAY too old for my taste. He looked like he could be his dad's age!
Oh well... I've seen it once and that's enough times for me.

And she's very very pretty! I always think purple suits her well Purple, eh? How ironic... Anyways, I saw Mummy 3 last weekend and it was okay. I loved Michelle in it! Her beauty never fades! She made a very pretty daughter too. The general could have been better casted. *cough, cough* The son looked a bit old, too. I loved Jet Li though! His costume was too cool! The special effects were impressive, especially when Jet transformed into something. I agree with Brittany that Rachel Weisz was severely missed throughout. She was the perfect opposite to Brendan Fraser. It was a shame she couldn't fit the movie into her schedule. Oh well. I watched the first Mummy movie right after.

actually I never saw the first 2 films before, so I really had nothing to compare it to... I agree on the son, definately he's too old to be playing Rick's son. I mean, he's suppose to look like he just dropped out of college... And although I like Maria but I dont think she's suitable as Rick's wife. Her accent is a bit too over (or was it just me?) To be completely honest, throughout the entire movie I was reading the subtitles even though I'm suppose to understand both languages perfectly, but I was struggling to catch what they were saying.... especially the mandarin! Jet's has too strong an accent for me... and Michelle well, everyone knows I love her, but she seriously cant speak mandarin... in fact her mandarin in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was much better.... and dont even get me started on Russell (Zi Yuan's husband, Ming Guo)'s mandarin... of course all of them were better than Luke. But Luke's not chinese so I dont really expect his pronounciation to be good anyway. As for the english, I happen to understand Michelle the best. Maybe it's because of Brendan's way of mumbling or Maria's fake accent, I find it really hard to understand them... I think this movie is so-so in general. I do enjoy the skeletons and yeti and Michelle and Jet.... basically these are the only parts i liked. There is one part of the movie I find particularly ridiculous.... it's at the end part where the Emperor died and the skeletons turned into dust and was blown away and suddenly.... Michelle and Russell's face appeared together.... I couldnt stop laughing both times.... not in an LOL way but just thinking how ridiculously innapropriate it is.... it reminds me of a scene in Lion King where Mufasa appeared in the sky talking to Simba... But then again, a lousy movie with Michelle is better than no movie..... I'm waiting for Babylon AD to come out this thursday. Chero, the general you mention.... was it General Guo (Russell Wong) or General Yang (Anthony Wong) or both?
