Here I was, all set to launch another rant about how *bleepingschnitzer* cold it is here in the Land of Ten Thousand Swamps (Global warming? Obviously we've been overlooked this winter.), and then I watched A&E's 1996 production of Emma, with Mark Strong as Mr. Knightley, and suddenly I'm feeling a bit... toastier. Wrap it up: I'll take it. ...

I was wondering when the "wrath of Kali" idea would pop back up hereabouts. Yeah, mere[r] mortals, that's right:
[glow=red,2,300]DIBS!!![/glow]
[With extra-bonus angry-goddess earthquaky lightning-bolt stuff. You know: the whole LOOK UPON ME AND DESPAIR (when you're done having a laugh) routine.]
... especially after watching Mr. Strong's behind-the-scenes snippets for "Stardust." Someone elsewhere said that (s)he could watch him in a show where he did nothing but stare at a wall. Yeah: I'm starting to grasp that....
