So, yesterday I just got a random itching to actually finish anything regarding my camera and the sun, so I talked to people. I filmed it all yesterday and then edited it last night/today. I asked people about the sun. 1. "Do you think it's possible for the sun to die within the next 50 years?" 2. "Do you think we could fix it if it did?" So, yes, it's uploaded. It may still be "processing" on some computers, but everyone who's been linked can see it so far. So, this is what I learned: "turning into acid" is not synonymous with "death," and also that we are going to die by fire, according to the Bible, so that means that the chances of the sun dying and having another "ice age" are virtually nonexistent.

Wasn't there a video on SunshineDNA or somewhere else which stated that if the Sun dies, the Earth, in reality, gets hotter? I might just be making that up...

Well, there's the theory where the sun could turn into a Red Giant. I tried to explain that to my parents, LOL... they didn't get it. Probably because I'm kind of crap at explaining it.

Chero- there could have been a video up there that says that... If so it was one of the 'Science' videos. Unfortunately, at some point when the US was uhhmmming and ahhhing about their release date, they realised that they'd put March 2007 on the ends of all of our videos. So they put a new 'coming soon' on them all, sent them to me and I uploaded the new ones. I only realised a few weeks ago that they gave me the wrong 'Death of the Sun' video... I've got the proper one up... but I couldn't get it out of Searchlight (for some reason) and had to get it off YouTube (seriously)... so if it's not that one, then it was the 'wrong' one I had up for a while... But yes, when the Sun starts to run out of 'fuel' it will swell up engulfing the inner planets. Here is an animation of a classic 'Star Death'. Here is an animation of what would happen to the Sun in Sunshine based on the b ackground science. And another one. Note that the 'classic' one swells up and the 'collapsar' ones kind of 'implode'...

I was wondering why "Science of the Sun" was suddenly changed to "Death of a Star"...

Weird. I can't get any of those videos to work. Regardless, THAT is what I was trying to explain to my mother (isn't it great how adament she is on explaining how this could never happen because of "God's plan" or whatever...? Man, I love living in the Bible belt, =P). The fact that there's not just one certain way the sun could die. There's like 20 minutes of me trying to explain things and them arguing it back based on religion, which I thought was fun, especially considering that theme in the film.

I KNOW!
I'm so glad (and such a mean-spirited daughter right now, hah!)... xP
You should've been around when I was talking about Jesus having a son. I thought she and my grandmother were going to murder me. I can't wait!
I was just surprised more of the people didn't talk about religion. Although I guess I didn't really give many people a chance to talk about it considering this was like a five-hour project...
