Olympus... isn't that the name of a mountain where the Greek gods lived? Yeah, that's Hiro. Thanks for sharing that, filmbuff!

Sorry Emerald, I found your blog on Misty's HSE site. I thanked you on her site for sharing the info.
Then the link was posted by Reiko on the SHIN fan site. (She did site you as the source)
Normally, I site the source of the info, but since this was up in other places I FORGOT to reference the source. Had I known this was proprietary info I would not have posted with or without a reference to you.
And, if you read the other post on this site that I made regarding your translation you will see that I am a VERY appreciative fan.
Again I'm sorry. Please don't be angry with this site administrator for my forgetfulness.
I have tried to send you a pm but your email is hidden.

No problem, filmbuff. I took a quick look at this thread right after posting the MAINICHI SHIMBUN information, and since it was about 2:30 a.m. for me, I was rather tired and bleary-eyed and most likely didn't read it correctly. I also got confused because Brittany and Chero were so wonderful in e-mailing me to give me the heads-up before linking my earlier translation to this site, so I couldn't understand why I wasn't notified about this. I didn't realize that my e-mail address was hidden -- I'll correct that right away but Brittany and Chero were able to contact me without any problems. You are also welcome to leave comments or e-mail me via my blog as well. As a writer and a journalist, I am a huge believer in giving credit where it's due -- I consider it standard practice -- so perhaps I over-reacted in my fatigued state. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. Thanks for your explanation and your compliments! Emerald

Emerald, I can see your e-mail even if it's hidden because I am an administrator (and Brittany too). Thank you for your translations and your Olympus post on your blog. Your blog is a fun place to browse! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for setting me straight, Chero!
And filmbuff, I didn't see a post from "filmbuff" at Misty's Hiroyuki Sanada Enthusiast so you must be posting under a different name -- how am I supposed to know that?

Well Emerald, just to you save any future confusion, I won't post any type of thank you to you under any name.

And filmbuff, I didn't see a post from "filmbuff" at Misty's Hiroyuki Sanada Enthusiast so you must be posting under a different name -- how am I supposed to know that? EmeraldIt can be difficult with multiple names, but to get to a main point: the link is public. It is from the official company Olympus. Placing a credit to you is a kind gesture (especially if that person actually visited the blog and found this information), but it is unnecessary if you can find it in the search engine just as well. Filmbuff is only human, too. It has been rather stressful for her and even for you, I'm sure. Let's just compromise. Filmbuff was only trying to open Sunshine fans up to Hiroyuki Sanada. Not many people knew about him before this film (myself including! ). Threads like these help recruit more Hiro fans! Well Emerald, just to you save any future confusion, I won't post any type of thank you to you under any name. I know feelings were hurt here, and things shouldn't have come to this. I know both of you mean well. You two help us know more about Hiro on this forum and I deeply appreciate it. Let's just put this grudge past us and be friends again. There is no need for anymore hostility.
