Summary: An attorney intent on climbing the career ladder toward success, finds an unlikely opponent in a manipulative criminal he's trying to prosecute. Cast: Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling, David Strathairn, Rosamund Pike, and OF COURSE Cliff CurtisGenre: Crime / Drama / Thriller MPAA: Rated R for language and some violent content. IMDb link--------------------- This film was scary, funny, clever, and satisfying. Cliff sure knows how to pick his projects! The best part of it all: He doesn't die. One of my favorite scenes is where Willy Beachum (Gosling) goes up to Detective Flores (Curtis) and asks him what he thinks the house's interior design is (note: the house is the scene of the crime). Flores simply says, "Homicidal modern?" I love Cliff! He makes a very good cop, who is a semi-main character. If you enjoy clever mysteries and/or courtroom drama/comedy, check this film out! You won't regret it! I don't usually watch this film genre, but Fracture got me hooked once the trial started.

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE thrillers! It's just the crime part of it that's really not my style. Fracture was amazing and I'm completely open-minded to that genre now. I just thought that I would get lost in legal jargon, but no. It was enjoyable. ;D

I thought it was a really good film. Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins worked well with each other. I bolted upright in my chair, when I realised Cliff was in it! Cliff and Ryan worked well too.

Willy Beachum (Gosling): [after discussing decorating styles with his secretary over the phone while he is in Crawford's house] What style would you say this is? Detective Flores (Curtis): Oh... I'd say homicidal modern.

it's so funny... I bought both, Sunshine and Fracture at the same time. it took me a while though, to realize Cliff was in both of them when I did, oh the laugh. I really liked Fracture. I bought it because of Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. I love them both to death and any movie with those two in, can't be too bad. I think our lovely Capa, Cillian Murphy and Ryan Gosling are one of the best actors around. I loved Gosling in Stay and Murder by Numbers and The Notebook and he's really got it! he's really good. he doesn't do too much, just enough. he's not trying to be a pretty boy and does roles he thinks are good. he even fought for the new ending for Fracture, I read. I think that proves that he really cares about the movies he makes and tries to make them as good as possible. and Cillian... well, he's just great. this is a little offtopic so I won't ramble about him here. what comes to the movie itself.. a little different what I was expecting. a little boring, but in the end, totally worth my money. Anthony Hopkins is just great. I think his character here had something in common with Dr. Lecter, and I just adore him as Lecter. pure beauty, if you ask me
