I had to laugh at the discussion of the space suits. Fans really familiar with Hiro's work, have read articles and seen reviews related to his role in The Promise. During much of that film, Sanada san had to wear an elaborate suit of armor with a helmet that was extremely heavy. Topping that off, most of the scenes in which he had to wear that costume were filmed outside in temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit - sorry American here - something like 35C??? Well, you get the idea. He probably thought the space suit and filming on a set rather than a remote area of China was a dream.

Sanada san also did the cooking for other cast members when they lived together! He must be a good cooker!!

Hi Gia! WOW!! Thank you so much for posting the link to my translation. I'm working on another translation -- it's a transcript to an on-air interview that appeared on a premium channel in Japan (I haven't seen the actual interview but it's probably about 10 minutes long). This is going to take me a couple of days to get it out, but trust me, it's going to be worth the wait! I also hope to get a copy of the interview from my fellow Sanada fans in Japan once it's rebroadcast, and will put it up on my blog as soon as it's available. Emerald

Emerald,
Yay! I can't wait! I'm very interested to hear what Sanada-san has to say. I felt bad for him when he was interviewed over here on set because the interviews were in English and I felt he wasn't able to find the words to express how he thought, so your translation will be *greatly* appreciated!
