The Airlock set looks so detailed and "spacey." Sneaky, sneaky... Video Link: Airlock

I wonder if we'll get more sneak previews of the set or maybe some vids on the actors playing table tennis or.... *trails off into incoherent nothingness*

I wish I'd decided to wear some make up and do my hair that day I started working on the website on my own. Very quickly I realised that I was going to need some help. I'd been a fan of The Media Lounge for a while and in July 2005 had met Medlo DZA (Damien) through a mutual friend. A few weeks after that I was told I could hire someone to help me out and after getting resumes from editors all over the UK, I decided to hire Damien. I knew he had the talent and, most importantly, the sense of humour to make great videos for Sunshine. Initially, we found it incredibly difficult to film - we weren't really allowed to film anywhere nor could we get anyone to be interviewed on camera - and there were so many things that we weren't allowed to show or talk about. For a few weeks we did a lot of surreptitious filming - we both carried video cameras around with us and filmed constantly holding our cameras in our hands by our sides (as I am in the Airlock video), we filmed people without their knowledge, snuck onto sets and filmed when we weren't supposed to, pressed 'record' on our cameras sitting on our desks in order to film people during meetings... I even bought a 'spy' camera which is about the size of a matchbook... Damien made several videos out of these guerrilla filming weeks- so far only 'Airlock' has been released. I think one about the stunts will be on the DVD... and LOADS of shots from that time will be used in videos coming up... but 'interviews' with people, a few 'Chasing Danny Boyle' videos and an 8 minute video of when we snuck onto set and filmed (in night vision) during a take will more than likely never be seen. So basically, this Airlock video was one of many we made when we were trying to decide what kind of videos to do... After a few weeks, Andrew Macdonald allowed Phil (seen in the 'Capa Flies Backwards' post) to help us out on the web videos. He'd been working on the film and everyone on production knew him. Once Phil started, he and Damien were able to film all over... and our 'sneaky' days were over.

Sounds fun! "Guerrilla filming" should become a technical term. Damien seems like a funny guy, too. I keep imagining in that one video of a guy eating a sandwich during a countdown for some reason... Post Link: Capa Flies Backwards

That is so cool, Gia. Are a lot of the videos going to go on the DVD just as extra features, then, since they've already been filmed and all that?
I have a feeling it's going to be the coolest DVD ever.

The 'guy eating the sandwich' was Phil. I honestly don't know *what* is going to be on the DVD... but I *do* know that a few of Damien and Phil's videos won't be online and will be on the DVD instead.
