Well, I posted a little mix yesterday and had only one comment. The SOUNDTRACK IS OUT. Just everyone can't get it yet. I have whipped together a little proof that I know you will ALL enjoy. The track time is 10:23 but I know you will LOVE it. Please feel free to do with it what you will. I guess this will show truth to the old phrase "It's not WHAT you know but WHO you know". PLEASE leave me your comments and enjoy. It is true ya know, we are only stardust..... *LINK REMOVED* ( Please read policy)

I have been waiting this score for months. I was so glad but quickly disapointed. Hope you're right and it will be available soon...

Let me please clarify. I DO NOT HAVE this soundtrack. I am only saying that some people do or this could'nt have been made. Therefore it must have been released or will be very soon. I just put this together for us to listen to until it does. I guess as a little "appitizer" until the main course. Please enjoy it. I made it for you.

Well, My link was removed. I just recorded off the radio. I didnt get it from ANY of the infamous "3 sources". Anyway, my audio wasnt ripped, stolen, or leaked and anyone can listen to it anytime they want. The first time I heard it was at a Starbucks. I was under the impression that everyone here was probably into ALL movie soundtracks and cant believe that soundtrack fans havnt heard this already. Sorry if I affended anyone.

I'm a big soundtrack fan, scott, and I've really been keeping my ears open for this one. If I could just ask: what radio station did they have tuned in at that Starbucks? Maybe that station has an archive of day-by-day playlists and music sources. (I know my favorite station here in the swampy North keeps such an archive.) Thanks!
Edit: I've e-mailed XM Radio Channel 45, Starbucks' satellite radio provider, and our two most likely Twin Cities radio stations (i.e., our two remaining not-utter-commercial-sellout stations) to ask if they've received "Sunshine" promotional CDs or music files. Will pass along their replies....

Hi, all, new to the board. Just wanted to let people know that XM channel 27, Cinemagic, the soundtrack/audio clip channel, has just started playing a Sunshine segment. Heard it for the first time last night. Sounds great, BTW.

Called the Starbucks and they WERE listening to XM Cinemagic. I guess they have it already.

Scott, gator: So that's the source, then. Good job verifying things for us!
Apologies for any misunderstandings. We felt the need to be cautious; knowing the source really helps. Thanks again for checking!
Which leads to a new question, though: How will XM's "exclusive" impact the release of the soundtrack widely and as a whole? That is, I wonder if it's like films on cable, where channels like HBO normally get a thirty- to ninety-day broadcast window before the film is released on DVD...?

i was told today by someone at DNA that as far as they are concerned, "the deal has been done" and the soundtrack should be on iTunes by now This is doing our heads in.

Good question. Hearing it on XM only made me want the soundtrack more. It also probably makes people who have not seen the film yet want to see it. I enjoyed the sneak peek. It lets me "re-live" the movie a little.

I don't think it will have any effect as I don't believe XM's playing of segments is an "Exclusive" that will keep the soundtrack off the market for a while. I have never seen that before from XM's Cinemagic. It's actually just the opposite. The segments usually play shortly before or after the release of a soundtrack as a sort of marketing tool. So I think it's playing on XM is good news and not a signal of any type of exclusive period that needs to expire.
