(Never mind me: I'm running on no sleep, and I'm buzzed. Been on the phone all morning to the New Ambassadors Theatre in London, where Cillian Murphy's appearing in "Love Song"-- and the manager identified several songs in the production that I simply couldn't place. It had been driving me nuts for weeks. And now: YAY!) Whoa, I'm jealous! You should elaborate more in a 'Love Song' thread

Most soundtracks are released before the actual movie does, right? When is Sunshine's soundtrack coming out? Does anyone know?

I have a hunch that cause everything is very hush hush, the soundtrack will come out after the movie.

Chero, it could go either way. It looks like some films use the soundtrack as part of their marketing campaign (i.e. Spiderman, Star wars, etc) cause they know it'll sell. However, the soundtrack for The Departed took forever to come out. I'm hoping this one hits around the release date. Yeah, I gave you no answer, did I?

This is kind of indirect, but the Underworld/Gabriel Yared soundtrack for current release "Breaking and Entering" just came out. Can't see there being a big problem with the "Sunshine" soundtrack making a timely appearance (unless it's on Varese Sarabande, whose motto seems to be "We printed four copies four years late," in which case we are doomed): Underworld seem well in control of their music rights, and, just to compare, the soundtrack to "28 Days Later" was pretty widely and quickly available, despite its having music by an eclectic-- and great-- gang of artists.
