We saw it today; we absolutely loved it. Magic, action, romance, wonderful settings, and tons and tons of humor. Michelle Pfeiffer is "wow" personified; Robert DeNiro is-- oh, man, I can't even write it with a straight face-- FABULOUS; and our boy Mark is, ummm... ... rrrroasty-toasty. Mmmm. Mmm hmm. Those bad boys-- those bad-but-compellingly-dashing boys: gotta love 'em...! (This will make no sense to anyone who hasn't read my take on the "Sunshine" universe-- where we find "Pod," "Flare," and "Split"-- but I now can understand why a certain Lieutenant Whitby fell like a rock for a certain captain.... )

I wasn't sure about this one, but since you enjoyed it so much I might give it a shot. Robert DeNiro looked out of place for me when I saw the trailer. I LOVE Michelle Pfeiffer though. Cat Woman, anyone?

Cat Woman, anyone?Robert DeNiro is about as out of place as he'll ever be-- but it is one hella-funny out-of-place. Huge grin on this end! I loved Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. Imagine Catwoman's older black-magic sister-- a few more miles on her, but stunning and dangerous and conniving and wicked-funny-- it's a great part, and Michelle has a blast with it!

I was excited to see the movie ever since I heard about it but was a little bummed that Claire Danes was going to play the female lead. I was never a big fan of her acting. But seeing the movie, I guess the rest of the actors redeemed it a lot for me. Michelle Pfeifer was unbelievably outrageous, I love her! And I think I had a fangirl crush on Mark with this one.

This movie was pretty good.. it's pretty different from the book though but I loved Claire Danes! It's from the same guy who directed some of my favorite movies; Layer Cake and X-men 3 (not one of my favorites, but still good, well actually he dropped X-men so that doesn't really count.).. Same guy who co-produced Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch with Guy Ritchie.

Septimus is Pinbacker?!? I had NO idea..... I gotta admit he was quite dashing in Stardust. Probably my favorite character. Loved the movie, by the way. First thing I said to my friend afterwards was "It was so good I almost made it through the whole thing without thinking of Sunshine! But then the ending---"

Septimus was indeed him. Not gonna blame you for not recognizing him though... he looks so different when he's not naked and scorching.

Well, he was kinda scorching-- especially in that voodoo-doll scene toward the end-- but he definitely wasn't naked! ;D

Yeah... that was when I thought, "Good God, he's hot when he's on fire.. and he's still hot when he's wet!"

Oh, Prince Septimus!! I was rooting for your success throughout the entire movie. It is a terrible shame that the haggish witch Lamia had to ruin it all. Do stay merry, my handsome prince, for even in death you make an excellent swordsman. I love you. The things I would do with that voodoo doll...
