As you know, i'm a huge fan of her. I first saw her in Troy, a "peplum for girl" ( ;D), where she plays Briséis, the lovely Achilles slave ( and some more ... ). She is fantastic, brilliant in all kinf of movie, can't wait to see her in a sci-fi movie like Sunshine !

I first loved Rose when I saw her in Troy. I'm planning on watching Wicker Park because I can get pretty obsessive sometimes.  I appreciated her even more when I heard that she played Dorme in the Star Wars prequels because those movies are in my top favorite sci-fi films (I still need to submit my list to that thread). The upcoming film The Dead Girl looks good, too. |

You HAVE to see Wicker Park  , one of her best role. You haven't seen Marie Antoinette ? It's a very special movie but she's gorgeous on it ! |

It was so funny--I was reading the bottom of the Marie Antoinette poster at work and saw her name and I was like, "*GASP!* Rose Byrne! She's in Sunshine!" and everyone was like, "...what?" and I was like, "It's a new Danny Boyle movie! With Cillian!"
I got really excited, LOL.

I remember first seeing her in Troy, and that's where she engaged my interest. In my opinion, I think the story between Briseis and Achilles was so much more intriguing and interesting. Her performance was one the few highlights of the film.
She's brilliant in Wicker Park. I can't wait to see The Dead Girl. I just hope it get's realised here at some point. I'd love to see more of her work.

Firstly, hi *waves shyly*
Secondly, I first "noticed" Rose when I was about 12 and watching "I Capture The Castle", I was fully prepared not to like it as I had loved the book, but I remember thinking that Rose (the character!) was awesome and not really liking Romola Garai's character that much, even though you're supposed to, LOL... Then when I was watching Troy she seemed really familiar, so like the geek I am I looked it up on IMDB and it was Rose from I Capture The Castle. I watched Wicker Park a while after it came out and thought "the girl playing Alex is really good". It took me ages to realise that it was Rose Byrne, but "being American". I think it's awesome she's been in so many mags and the like recently, it's so cool! Unfortunately, none of my friends seem to have a clue who she is, they just scroll through the pages going "she's pretty...like the dress..."

*clarisse*, I don't have a scanner (I'm rubbish, I know) but they will be up on her fansite rosebyrne.org
The magazine I had with her in it is UK Instyle, I was actually really surprised to see her in it, I only got it because the shop had no more copies of Cosmo left :-) (I think it was fate, LOL)
She's also in UK GQ not that I read GQ or anything...scans should be on that site.

Don't you love that about magazines? Pick one up and then a year later you're like "OMG where'd I put that? There was an article on ___ in it!!" That's happened to me many times. |
