Erm, yeah...wow. Capsie indeed. I can understand why it wouldn't be kept in. But...Wow, yeah. I can think of some funny things to say about something like that in the Oxygen Garden but...I'll just keep it all to myself.

Hmm, I wonder...did Danny leave anything evident of their potential connection? I so much wanted them to connect in some way.
*sighs* I'm getting impatient.

Ei, how would they know? I mean, which one is more believable? These guys being able to take not having sex for 16 months? Or, well, a little Capsie sex in space?
Sex in space could have totally worked.
*Perverted me is enraged*

Y'know what I find funny about the "no sex in space" thing...?
This is an Alex Garland screenplay, right? Isn't he the same guy who told us, in "28 Days Later," that four WEEKS without sex can turn highly disciplined, highly trained soldiers into SEX-STARVED MONSTERS...?
Huh...?
Count me with the perverts here: the sex coulda worked. Might have been something as simple as Corazon on the scooter heading for the Oxygen Garden: She says into her comm unit, "Finish it up, Adam and Eve. I'm on my way back from lunch."-- and we cut to Capa and Cassie, contentedly stunned and flustered, getting dressed. She brushes a leaf out of his hair; he smiles, gives her a quick kiss-- and they and we are outta there. Simple.

Yeah, that could have totally worked. Plus, it wouldn't mess up the whole focus of the story... not one bit.

Ah, but we're talking in terms of plot-and-character development-- not in terms of earth-shattering disruptions in the fan continuum! ;D
It always just bugs the heck out of me-- guess it's an editor pet peeve-- when someone says something "can't work" in a story-- or, worse yet, "doesn't work" in general (especially when one is making that claim about a genre in which one has confessedly little experience). Of course things can work-- it's all a matter of stepping back or looking away for a minute. Going for a walk, if you will. The answers'll almost always creep up on you... when you're miles away from a pen and paper!

Errrr..... I wouldnt think so.............. Massie fans will go crazy, Capsie fans will go crazieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... Like I said, it won't mess up the focus of the story. Which, like Kali said, are the plot and character development. But the Massie and Capsie fans are gonna go haywire.
