Wasn't sure where to put this, or whether to post it at all, but I wanted to express my infinite gratitude to kaliszewski for letting me come to her house and touch her collection of Capa props!!
She's got Capa's sweaty shirt:
Capa's bloody pants:
Capa's watch:
Capa's bloody vest:
Plus Capa's shoes, wristbands, comm link, and non-bloody outfit:
Now, I sat hugging that bloody vest for at least 2 hours, trying to figure out what else I can do given such a rare opportunity. First I asked if I can try on the shoes, and she said that'd be fine. Then I asked if I can unzip the vest, and that was ok too. So I dared to ask if I can try on the vest, and she said I've already had it on top of me for so long, why not.
And... you just have NO idea how happy that made me!
But I couldn't stop there, so I asked if I can try on the pants, and the T-shirt, until I was in full death scene gear!! 
(Except that I was wearing the watch instead of the wristband) Now, I've considered making a Capa costume, and that was part of the reason why I wanted to examine the actual props. But never in my life did I think I'd get a chance to wear the ACTUAL costume!! 
So here's me in Capa costume...
And me doing a retarded impression of Capa staring at sparklies...
That's just... so... amazing to me... ;_;
Now every time I watch the movie I can think "I touched that! I walked in Capa's shoes! I used that zipper and belt!! I WORE THAT OUTFIT!!!" An incredible dream come true for me, corny as it may sound. Because I'm obsessed, and Sunshine has recently trumped Star Wars and LotR as my favorite movie.
Kali, you are SO lucky to own these things! Thank you so much for letting me see them!!

outfit has officially made my being here worthwhile!! I... still can't believe she let me put it on... I think I'm going through withdrawl from not hugging Capa's bloody vest for too long.
