Malaysian fan here... I realised the trailer are *still* not showing (the last I've check) in Malaysia although Sunshine is scheduled to be released next thursday. Aside from a few banners and posters, I feel like there's not been much publicity. Or is it only the case for Penang? Also, I've read (somewhere) that Michelle and Danny will be coming to Malaysia for promo, but there havent been any news on that yet... is it still on or I'm mistaken??? I'm really hoping to see the cast or crew coming to Malaysia (and hopefully be so kind to stop by in Penang also) to promote the movie more...

hi there. another msian ere u got that spot on. yeah, the promo is weak and the hell people will know how awesome this movie is. skeptics will labeled it another Armageddon from the look of the poster alone, and that just ain't right. ok, i am one of the guys that misinterpreted the film all about, until i saw an interesting score from reviewer at imDb. got tickets for me and my friends, n the film was shockingly outstanding. breathtaking scenes and seriously made your mind think of how human is a human; no matter how prepared they are. will go and watch again later.

I just watch the movie on the first day, I want to go watch it again, but gotta go pull some people. Anyway, I realise not much people know about Sunshine until I talked about it... :*0 Although The Star did gave a 'B' on the review. Hopefully that'll pull more people. ;D

haha. wow. fast reply. just posted ytday. thought the forum was dead. thanks chero for the warm welcome. no, im not in penang, im more around KL and Ipoh. so kinda impossible for us to watch it together, haha. (if its doesnt sound freaky for u to watch a movie with a total stranger , but same interest though). yeah, need to pull some people to watch it again, which is quite hard. The Star gave it B eh? no wonder when i said bout watchin Sunshine to some of my colleagues their first expression was "Little Miss Sunshine is still on cinema?!" *sigh* :*0. that was just unacceptable, isk. chero, so u got 2 msian here in the forum so be sure to put us on the fan map will ya, haha.

The Sunshine Fan Map automatically adds you if you view it. I don't do the adding.

Lol... I dont really mind watching a movie with a "stranger", i mean, there's strangers around us everytime we watch a movie anyway... (although not so sure about my parents..) Anyway... as I was saying, I'm very dissapointed with the publicity in M'sia. I mean, come on! Michelle is from Malaysia, and aside from putting her name slightly bigger whilst adding "Dato'" in front, they pretty much did nothing... They did put the poster on a billboard near a cinema which BTW, they took it down today (which is just 2 days after it's released) and replaced it with Spiderman 3 (coming in May)... I mean, hello!!! At least wait til 2 weeks... ughh! The people around me all hear Sunshine from me. Before that, they never knew what is was. Worse still, Malaysian press focus more on the rumours of Michelle getting married than Sunshine.... ughh again! Just realised I should probably stop, since it is Visit Malaysia 2007 - celebrating 50 years of nationhood, this does not paint a pretty picture.

"28 days later" does not become a hit here so they might think so does this. ahaha, yeah, the parent. i realized u r 18 n thats why the question popped out.

I was actually thinking of continuing my ranting but then there is starting to have some reviews in the newspapers and stuff... so it's not soooo bad anymore, it ain't good, but it's ok. Sunshine actually get a relatively good review compare to the other movies that are now showing. Anyway, I realise that I should be glad I'm a Malaysian and not an American right now. At least I get to watch the movie twice now. (hopefully it's and counting) So... Malaysia's not all that bad! *waves the Malaysian flag around*

OoOh nice, reviews! Do you have a scanner by chance? ;D Hehe... I do, I do... I'll scan it later... Although I must say, most of them think that it's a cliche plot with a mundane start...
