Check this out, guys: I'm making a film [about the film], and it's going to be brilliant, but right now I'm just sort of figuring out how to get my silly video camera hooked up to my computer. Let me tell you, this past week of ordering firewire ports and then putting them into my computer (and if you knew me, you'd know that I am the least technologically efficient person on the planet) and blahblahblah has been ridiculous. However, making random people all over the place talk to my video camera has been good fun. They mostly look at me like I'm crazy when I say, "Just look at my camera and say 'Sunshine!'" I get a lot of, "What's this for?" and then I go on and on about how I'm making a movie about a movie that's coming out in March and they should seriously go check it out! And oh, do they have a Myspace? (HAHA.) ANYWAYS, I've just captured and clipped one of the tapes so far (and the other has about 60 minutes on it, so I'm excited about going into that one, let me tell you), and it's only five of the kids from my work (in order of appearance: Tammy, Mitch, Scarlett, Grant, Gray), but it's super cute, and it's like a sneak-peek at the video. How special. xP So, yeah, check it out at MY YOUTUBE account. It's going to be all kinds of amazing. EDIT: I've just set up this new account for my "real" videos, so keep an eye on it HERE to see the development process of this video. xD

Wow! Damien, Phil and I were talking about doing that (getting people to say 'Sunshine' and talk about the Sun)... Great job!

Thanks, Gia! I hope it turns out great. I just found an awesome punk cover of "You Are My Sunshine" by Screeching Weasel that I'm going to use! OH MY GOSH, I just had the greatest idea ever (for real)! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE IN MY VIDEO!! All you have to do is cam yourself saying, "Sunshine!" and then upload the video to a free server like MegaUpload or something--or you can e-mail it to me in an attachment to slytherinsdoitbetter[at]gmail[dot]com! I use Windows Movie Maker, so I can use files of the following types: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv. I'll use as many clips of you guys as I can--you get top priority, of course. I'm telling the people I actually know that they get top priority, but it's totally a lie.

Well, should Brittany and I talk together or separate? We are twins... ;D

Either way works! If you guys wanna do separate, go for it, or if you'd rather be together, that'd be cool, too! I've only tried to get like, one group of people to say it together, but they wouldn't. It's cool, though. They're going to be in the video anyways, ROFL.

I'm hoping to maybe get it all done by this week so I can edit and hopefully get it put together before I head to London on February 15th. So we'll say the deadline is February 12th. I'm going to be out of town this coming weekend anyways, so the 12th it is!
And by the way, I'd totally appreciate it if you guys sent me things. It would really mean a lot. Plus--how cool would it be to see all of us here in the fandom being in one video together? And don't worry, I'll be in it, too. xP I'm shooting the opening footage (with some help from my lovely assistants, Mitch and Tammy, who are the first two in that clip) tomorrow. It's going to be splendid!

Brilliant! I can't wait for everyone's videos!
By the way, watching these tapes back is hilarious. Everyone is looking at me (my camera) like I'm (we're) really stupid. It's pretty great.

Sorry about the double post, but I've just uploaded the second part of this. For those of you who might think I'm posting the whole video, you just wait for the completed project. I've created a new account (like I edited the first post to say) for all of my new "real" videos, so if you want to keep track of what I'm doing with this one and the progress I've made so far, you can click HERE. For the newest little section, check it out HERE. Keep in mind that these haven't been clipped down perfectly and there's no music or anything behind them, and they aren't even going to be in this order most likely during the finished product. I'm just really excited about how it's coming together so far. xP

Hey, guys! Just a quick *bump* to help you remember this thread. I'm heading out of town in about an hour, so I won't be able to come online until Monday evening. Remember to send me your "Sunshine!" videos! The "deadline" is February 12th, which is Monday, so that I can try to put everything together before I head to London (even though it is seriously looking like that's not going to happen). I can't wait to see them all!

Grumble! We've been delayed for filming the opening twice in a row now, so we STILL haven't gotten it. If anyone else would like to send a video of themself saying, "Sunshine!" feel free to go ahead and send it. We'll make the new deadline February 20th, I guess. I think we have a while before it'll need to be done anyway, with the release date being pushed back and all. Don't forget that you can keep an eye on the progress it's making (if any) at my YouTube account.
