I feel more justified in listing that Capa is my favorite character now. I mean, I probably would keep it that way either way, but at least now that I've seen that I feel a bit better about it.

I found the other version of the trailer. It's at this Yahoo link: uk.movies.yahoo.com/s/Sunshine/index-1421273.htmlIt keeps sticking and buffering for me, once it get's to a certain point, but I can see some new clips in there! Excellent! I am so so so excited!

I am such a huge dork that while I was watching it I was teary-eyed for its utter and unbeatable BRILLIANCE. Well...it'd only be beat if it were in theaters. ;D ;D ;D
Is anyone else weirded out by the Robert bit or is it just me? ^^;;;

I'm liking the first one more. Maybe it's the narration... Or-- wait: it's more "epic," less "in your face." Y'know, the sad thing about all of this is I wouldn't feel all that bad if something global took out us humans-- but the sun dying and taking the whole biosphere with it: THAT I have a problem with. Wonder if any of the "Sunshine" characters will take that view: "I wouldn't die to save humanity. But I would die to save the world." Erm, okaaay-- and it's back to the cargo hold for Little Miss Nosferatu....

Oh, oh, oh-- and one more nitpicky thing--
The second trailer? When it says something along the lines of "A star dies every second," I couldn't help but think two things:
1. ... and an angel gets his wings...!
and
2. --JUST FOR SH*TS AND GIGGLES.
So, again: I like the narrative trailer better. Thank you. Really: threatening us with solar extinction some four billion years early RIGHT UP FRONT for me doesn't pack quite the whallop of someone (preferably Cillian Murphy) explaining very quietly and politely and reasonably how things have broken down and how they need to be fixed.
Not that Nightsider Pro here would probably even notice if the sun went out. Well, except for the four-hundred-degree drop in temperature: there would be that.... Another "chilling" thought (BAH-DUM!): humanity would likely find a way to soldier on *without* the sun, wouldn't it...?

How would humanity go on without the sun? Is that even possible?
Also, I love you and your puns. Will you marry me?

This is an obvious answer so continue to #2.2.) Perhaps the future is slower than we think. Didn't the year 2000 promise flying cars and instant teleporters? Also, 2001: A Space Odyssey held the idea that by 2001 we would have mastered space flight. It's 2007 now...

The Russian site has the both trailers...in QUICKTIME! You know what that means? Going through the trailer frame by frame! There's more Cillian in there than what I thought. There's more weird images than what I thought. In on it actually looks like some guy who's apparently very burnt knocking out Capa. I think. Hmmm. www.filmz.ru/pub/9/9962_1.htmIt's all in Russian. Duh. Top link is the international trailer and bottom one is the UK. PS Frame by frame the UK trailer. In ONE FRAME ONLY you see a nice shot of Capa and Cassie. Just sayin'.

I know I've got geek pride on as I was laughing maniacally and giggling and clapping my hands and tapping my feet and shouting "wheeee!!" the whole time. The happy dance-a-thon still in progress. Oh March is so close and yet so so far away.

For sure! Every day I say "I want it to be March" at least 2 or 3 times. ;D *proud wearer of a dork hat and don't you know it, lol!* Edit: Just watched the UK version, and damn if it isn't super awesome! (As if you didn't know already, but still.) I like it better than the US/int'l one.
